Three dentists care for patients at DFW Dental & Orthodontics in Irving: Dr. Myoungsoo Kwon, DMD, co-owner; Dr. Larry Davis, DDS, who has practiced in Irving since 1986; and Dr. Jun Choi, DMD, who brings more than a decade of experience. Dr. Myoungsoo Kwon, DMD
Dr. Kwon is the co-owner and dentist at DFW Dental & Orthodontics.

Dr. Kwon graduated from Midwestern University College of Dental Medicine - Illinois, where he earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree. He became proficient in oral surgery, cosmetic dental treatments, and all aspects of dentistry. The key to Dr. Kwon’s approach is his conservative philosophy in caring for patients’ oral health.

He focuses on recommending the least invasive procedures necessary to address each patient’s needs, helping make comprehensive and cosmetic dentistry more accessible and affordable.

Through his ongoing commitment to continuing education, Dr. Kwon stays up to date with the latest advancements in dentistry. Since graduating, he has completed extensive training in multiple specialties, including wisdom teeth extractions, dental implants, orthodontics (Invisalign certified), cosmetic dentistry, endodontics (root canal therapy), and sedation dentistry.
Dr. Davis DDS graduated from Southeast Missouri State College with a degree in chemistry before attending dental school at the University of Missouri at Kansas City.
After dental school, he served two years in the Navy stationed at the Naval Air Station in Grand Prairie before going into private practice. Dr. Davis started his practice in Irving in 1986 and has been at the present location at O'Connor and Second Street since 1996.
Dr. Davis completed a six-month graduate program in cosmetic dentistry at Baylor Dental School in Dallas, but his biggest concern is the treatment of gum disease, the leading cause of tooth loss in adults, and its relation to other systemic diseases like heart disease and cancer.
Dr. Jun Choi, DMD
Dr. Choi is a graduate of the University of Rochester in New York, where he developed a strong interest in neuroscience and conducted research on temporal-lobe epilepsy at the University of Rochester Medical Center. He later earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from Midwestern University, building a solid foundation in clinical dentistry. Committed to lifelong learning, he has completed over 600 hours of continuing education in advanced dental care.
Before relocating to Texas, Dr. Choi spent more than a decade practicing in the Chicago suburbs, where he refined a patient-centered approach with a focus on high-level aesthetic and cosmetic dentistry.

Dr. Choi is dedicated to providing comprehensive, convenient care under one roof. His expertise includes preventive and general dentistry, endodontics (root canals), extractions, and orthodontics, including both traditional braces and clear aligners for patients of all ages. He is an active member of the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD) and Progressive Orthodontic Seminars.

He is also passionate about giving back, volunteering to treat children with special healthcare needs through community programs and local events.

Now based in Texas, Dr. Choi enjoys being part of the DFW community. Outside the office, he spends time with his wife and two sons, exploring their new home together.
